Christmas With My Girlfriend's Stepsister: a guide to 5 episodes

Christmas With My Girlfriend's Stepsister: the premise

Pick this series when you are in the mood for something seasonal. Kenzie is heading home for the holidays, and the lead, who is in a relationship with her stepsister, gets sent to collect her from the airport. One brief car ride is enough to tangle up the family Christmas, and when the stepsister rings to see how things are going, there is already a secret to keep.

The suspense grows out of a home packed with holiday plans. Someone is cooking dinner, the tree is decorated and the whole family is glad Kenzie got back. All the while she has a present for him that must stay wrapped until midnight has passed. Look out for rapid switches between family moments and private ones, a lead who cannot keep a poker face and a deeply uncomfortable Christmas.

Try it if: a festive backdrop, secrets in a crowded house and a visitor who turns up already sure of what she wants all sound good to you.

Christmas With My Girlfriend's Stepsister: the five episodes

Christmas With My Girlfriend's Stepsister comes as 5 vertical chapters lasting roughly sixty seconds each, which means you can binge it in one sitting or catch a chapter at a time while out.

Episode 1: Picked up at the airport

We open inside the car, where Kenzie keeps distracting the man at the wheel, and he asks her to keep her eyes on the road instead of on him. The phone rings and it is her stepsister; Kenzie picks up sounding cheerful and confirms that the fiancé collected her, that they are almost home and that he has been a real lifesaver.

She tells her stepsister not to worry at all, that he was a complete sweetheart and that the two of them had loads of fun. By the time she hangs up they are parked in front of the house. Kenzie asks whether he wants to go in with her, and they walk up to the door side by side. A cheery Merry Christmas on the doorstep ends the episode.

Episode 1 keeps to hints: a passenger who is hard to ignore, a phone call where every word is chosen carefully and a cover story, with nothing beyond flirting on screen. The premise pairs a man with his partner's stepsister, two adults, and the gift Kenzie refers to in the synopsis gets unwrapped in the paid episodes. It is strictly for an 18+ audience.
