Is there a Candy Shorts app to download?

No separate download exists. Candy Shorts is built into the Candy AI site and works in any browser, whether on a phone, a tablet or a computer. We could not find an official Candy AI app in either the App Store or Google Play, and Candy AI steers mobile visitors toward the home-screen shortcut.

This is common for adult services. Apple's store guidelines keep out apps that are openly sexual or pornographic, and Google Play forbids apps centred on sexual content. As a result, adult platforms usually operate on the open web, outside those store rules.

What you get from the home-screen shortcut

Once candy.ai sits on your home screen, its icon launches the site in a window of its own, normally with the browser bars hidden. It behaves like an app, yet it is still the website: nothing comes from a store and you never update it manually.

The Candy AI prompt also offers notifications about sales and discounts, new features and new messages. Accepting them is optional; Shorts plays the same either way.

"Candy AI videos": two different meanings

People use the phrase for two separate things, and it is worth telling them apart:

• Candy Shorts episodes. Ready-made AI-generated series that Candy AI releases for all users. You pick a series and hit play.
• Things you make yourself. Everything else on Candy AI is interactive: you talk with companions and use tools like Generate Image or Create Character to build your own content. Candy AI explains inside the platform what these tools can make and which plan each one requires.

How Candy Shorts videos look and play

Every episode is vertical, in 9:16 portrait, and usually runs one to two minutes. The player offers the usual controls of a current video app:

• Playback speed between 0.5x and 2x.
• Subtitles in six languages for every series we cover, Japanese for most of them, or none at all.
• Volume control and mute, useful when you watch with subtitles.
• Full-screen mode, mostly worth it on a computer.

APK, mod and "premium unlocked" files

Type Candy Shorts app or Candy AI app into a search engine and you get APK files, "mod" builds and "premium unlocked" versions on download portals. Candy AI made none of them. They also cannot open locked episodes, since unlocking is handled on Candy AI's servers and linked to your account.

A sideloaded APK can, however, ask for permission to read your notifications, draw on top of other apps or reach your storage, which is the usual route for adware and password stealers. If you installed one already, remove it, change the passwords for Candy AI and your email, and scan the phone for malware. The bigger picture of these scams is in our leaks guide.

Which device: phone, tablet or computer?

• Phone: the obvious choice. Held upright, the video takes up the whole screen.
• Tablet: fine too, though landscape adds black bars on both sides.
• Computer: episodes run in the browser, and full screen makes the picture larger.

Because everything happens on candy.ai, your account and tokens follow you to any device.

Can you watch on a TV?

We are not aware of any smart-TV app from Candy AI. Some viewers cast or mirror a phone or laptop browser onto a larger screen, which usually works with any site, but be careful if others share the room: notifications and the following episode will show on the TV too. On a landscape screen the vertical video also leaves broad empty strips on either side.

Connection and data usage

Episodes are streamed, not saved, so a live connection is required. A single short episode uses little data, but watching several in a row on mobile data quickly adds up. For a full series, Wi-Fi is the easier choice.

Staying discreet

• If you turn on Candy AI notifications, hide their previews on the lock screen.
• On a device you share, choose a browser bookmark over a home-screen icon.
• Sign out on any device other people use.
