Private Lessons: what the story is

Things kick off in a group yoga session, which is about as public as a room can get, and that is deliberate. Mia moves between the mats commenting on tight muscles and rigid bodies, and one new arrival obviously feels like a fish out of water. He openly says he was not made for yoga. Mia begs to differ, in a voice that hints she is not only talking about his posture, and suggests one-on-one attention away from everyone else.

The sharp part is why he says yes. His wedding is approaching and he wants to be ready for the day itself, flexibility and stamina included. Mia, who tells him she likes a man who is committed, sees that as an invitation. The pull is between a husband-to-be trying to keep everything proper and a teacher who finds a double meaning in whatever he asks. The tone is breezy, knowing and a little ridiculous, which works in its favour.

Episode 1: Private sessions before the big day

Mia greets the class, promises a hands-on approach and spots the newcomers. She remarks on how tight everyone looks and singles out one man who holds all his stress in a single spot. He confesses yoga is not really his thing physically. She replies that his body is fine, he just has not learned how to use it, and says tension like his calls for private, individual attention.

Once the class ends he asks about those private sessions, mentioning that his wedding is not far off. Mia says she loves a man who commits and asks what they will be getting in shape. Everything, he answers: flexibility, stamina, the full package. Stamina, she tells him, is what she does best, and she schedules sessions for just the pair of them. She leaves to loosen up and recommends he does too before the big day, and the chapter closes on him, flustered, saying "you should not be doing this."

At heart this is a story for two. Mia, the yoga teacher, is Mia Malkova's digital twin: an AI reproduction of the creator's likeness, not the real person. Her new client is a groom-to-be with no name who comes to the group class and then requests private sessions. The other students show up only for a moment in episode 1. Everybody on screen is an AI-generated fictional adult.

Private Lessons: how explicit it is

Episode 1 runs mostly on wordplay. Tight, stiff, stamina and positions each pick up a second meaning, and Mia makes no effort to hide it, yet the first chapter never moves beyond flirting. The setup leaves an instructor alone with a client who is engaged, and the paid chapters go further than that. You need to be 18 or over to watch.

Private Lessons: our view

The appeal is in the premise: a man about to marry, sessions behind closed doors and a teacher who turns his wedding into a goal for the pair of them. It has little drama and lots of puns, a mix that fits Mia Malkova's twin well.
