Your father is leaving town on a work trip, and before he goes he lays down one rule: while he is away, his wife runs the house, and you do as she says. It sounds like a routine parental instruction. The catch is that his wife, Ava, is only 22 and far from a typical stern guardian.

Ava listens carefully, and she decides that a rule is a rule. Once Dad has left, she starts treating his words as a blank cheque, and what she wants from you goes well beyond chores. The whole series turns on that one sentence and on how hard it is to argue with an order your own father gave.

Worth it if: you like a playful young stepmother who enjoys her authority, a point-of-view story where you are the one taking orders, and the obvious tension of a father who will be back soon.
